Wine and Halloween Candy Pairing

Have you ever wondered about the best way to pair your sweet treats with your adult drinks? Learn a handy skill and pair your favorite wines and holiday goodies. The Handsome Cab, a restaurant and wine bar, will host a wine and Halloween candy pairing event on Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m. The hour-long event will focus on rose wines from different regions so that you can sample some beverages you may not have tried before. Tickets are available for this event online because the event space is limited.

Kim's Krypt Haunted Mill

Kim's Krypt Haunted Mill promises a fun and safe experience this Halloween. This year, the attractions will include the Terror Trail, a horrifying walk through the woods, and House of Eyes, a barn possessed by spirits, creatures, and even an ax murderess. Then there's the Haunted Mill attraction itself, another intense haunt. Don't forget to check out the Zombie Escape Room before you leave. The attraction plans to have a twisted Christmas event for even more frights later in the year.

Halloween Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk-or-treat festivities are among the most popular Halloween events in any city, and there are several options to choose from in York this year. These events are great for families, especially those who may not be able to trick-or-treat in a neighborhood. For some families, passing out candy is just as fun. For the second year in a row, White Rose Hobbies encourages participants to decorate the trunks of their vehicles and bring Halloween candy to pass out to the little ones.

White Rose Hobbies will host a fun run for RC cars earlier in the day. Decorate your small vehicle to be part of the festivities. Food trucks will also be present. This Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event encourages costumes and will take place in the afternoon, making it a fantastic family-friendly activity.

Trunk-or-Treat and Drive-In Movie

The Jacobus Trunk-or-Treat and Drive-In Movie event encourages movie buffs to bring their vehicles and watch a Halloween movie from the comfort of their cars. While we wait for the movie reveal, in years past, it has always been a family-friendly film. The trunk-or-treat part of the event is the perfect time for little ones to stock up on candy before the holiday. This event takes place on the evening of Oct. 8.

Halloween Party

Gift Horse Brewing Company will host a Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. SWAAMP will provide the music, the brewery will sell beer and food, and you can bring the fun. The Gift Horse Brewing Company is located downtown and claims to have the "only yard in town." The beer garden outside encompasses 5,000 square feet of space and a 35-person bar. You can celebrate Halloween indoors or outdoors under the stars with your favorite draft.

Nosferatu: Film With Live Orchestra

If you're familiar with Bram Stoker's "Dracula," you may have heard of the film "Nosferatu." Based on the vampire book and brings to life one of the most frightening creatures in film history. This year is the 100th anniversary of the film's 1922 release, and the Strand Theatre in the Appell Center for the Performing Arts will be celebrating that with a live orchestra and chorus. The live concert and film will take place on Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. If you can't show up in person, you can also buy digital tickets.

Mystical Market 2022

Suppose you feel like going for a drive; head to Carlisle on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for this year's Mystical Market. The Carlisle Artisan Market will feature activities for children, including indoor trick-or-treating. Specialty food and drink vendors will also be available, and you'll have the opportunity to shop for eclectic art, jewelry, clothing, and more.

Ghoulish Glitter and Halloween Weekend

Are you ready for glitter and Halloween fun? The SpringGate Vineyard will provide food trucks, live music, and a variety of Halloween-themed glitter products from Oct. 21 to 23. The vineyard is known for its festivals, including Pumpkin Palooza weekends in September and Oktoberfest in early October. The musical acts are TBA, but they are sure to be a scream.

2000s Halloween Party

The Red Rose Restaurant and Lounge will host a 2000s-themed Halloween party on Oct. 22, starting at 8 p.m. The event by Y2Kids will feature your favorite music from the 2000s, with a few spooky hits thrown in. Grab some friends, buy adult beverages, and dance the night away. This event ends at 11:45 p.m.
